In Satan’s Wake

and Clues That Satan May Be Lurking In Your Home

In Satan's wake 2

Setting the scenario for this true story, I can begin by saying this was an actual incident that occurred to my editor, Anne, last week. I think it is important to understand that Satan never sleeps;

It was a pretty, nice morning. The sun was shining brightly through the blinds. She took her place behind the computer looking for Bible verses that related to my newest blog. The birds were cheerful, their feeder full and it looked like Thanksgiving in the backyard. Every feathered friend had come to partake in the seed-feeding frenzy. The TV was on low as the news can be like a broken record. Concentrating on Bible verses, her mission was to try to help the wandering seek comprehension of my message. (What an awesome job she does! Praise God for her hard efforts. Editing and correcting my grammar, I never thought of it as a full-time job, but I guess it really is after all.)

There she was going through chapter after chapter, speed reading the verses. Suddenly, a large black shadow swept by, behind her. At first she thought she was imagining things but then a noise – like a door! The hair on her arms stood straight up. What was that?? was her first thought, had Dana returned? Ever present, lingering in her thoughts, the evil power of Satan laid in his wake as he was rebuked. Searching for verses in the name of Jesus, Satan had no power. So reluctantly he left.

1 Peter 5: 8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

To lie, cheat, steal, and destroy….Satan was no match when her world revolves around the power of Christ Jesus. And so Satan moved on….. finding his way to attack her world through other acquaintances. Helplessly, she was at the mercy of Satan. God was called in the name of Jesus. The meek surrounded, would inherit. You see, Satan lies in every doorway.

She pushed away, knowing what just happened was as real as life itself. Now bombarded, the aftermath surfaced as even siblings tried to rule. Though maybe meek under the eyelids of God, the strength in her soul was like a second wind. Determination had no limits. The only light was the computer screen. Her world caved in…..or did it not??

In Satan's Wake

There in the light, a message arose on the computer screen, just as though she was saved from Satan’s powers. Her life was far more important than the orientation of his desires. A calm had then resumed. Looking out at the remaining seed, the flock had flown away in Satan’s wake as well. God planted value in her spirit and she regained her composure. Studying her Bible verses, she continued. She turned up the TV as maybe some background noise would be comforting.

Enforcing the word of God, the Bible, and it’s pride, leads us all out of temptation…. at least for those who read it. My readers, you may ask yourself, am I just reading a tale or is this real? Study your Bible and you will find out that Satan hides within it’s very pages. Personally, I too, have seen his shadow sweep behind me while I would write in my Church pew.

As evil becomes more prevalent, God turns a blind eye, for Christ now narrows his list of followers. The meek will inherit the earth, it is written and not by me. It’s scripture.

Clues That Satan May Be Lurking In Your Home

There are many signs that evil lives in your home so please consider this small list as partial.  If you feel you are afflicted by demonic attacks, it would be advisable to seek the counsel of a pastor of a spirit filled Christ centered church. Keep in mind that you have power over all demonic principalities ‘in the name of Jesus’ once you have accepted Christ as your personal Savior and are covered by His blood.

  • Moving and disappearing objects
  • Windows or doors opening or closing on their own
  • Difficulty swallowing food at a meal after a blessing has been said
  • Difficulties in praying and/or reading the Bible
  • Nightmares, sometimes together with visions and a strong sense of an evil spirits presence
  • Health disorders, especially headaches, stomach and back pains, pressure on the throat, which cannot be diagnosed or cured.
  • Sexual deviations and perversions such as perverted sex acts, oral sex, masturbation, prostitution, incest, child abuse, rape.
  • A repulsion to the cross
  • Ongoing lewd or obscene thoughts. Satan is the ‘lord of filth’.
  • Behavior of pets, like they are sensing somebody’s presence (e.g. staring into one place, running away in terror).
  • Movement of shadows
  • Sudden behavior changes, long-term neglecting of duties around the home, strong personality change
  • Sudden coldness in a room
  • Addicts and alcoholics eventually have demons as the drugs and alcohol suppress their wills leaving them open for attack.

Luke 10: 17

Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.

Tarnished Memories main

In the early dawn as I drove to work, smoke filled the sky as far as the eye can see. Giving it little thought, cruising through the mountains and valleys, I was running late. Trying to beat the clock, I wasn’t really concerned about the smoke-filled air. That was until I came over the hill and around the curve.

Oh dear God! A church is burning! I looked harder and began to cry; not just a church but my own beloved place of worship! I slammed on the brakes. With tears flowing, I asked God, why? An image scratched into my heart like a forest engulfed from lightning. My little country church had stood for years and now it’s all but gone.

The hot steel and even the concrete floor were smoldering. Singed beautiful pews and the handsome stage (including my drums), gone for good. Asking only our heavenly Father I thought, why has Satan found comfort destroying our fellowship hall. Why God?

Putting my truck in gear as though I was in a funeral procession, I slowly left what was left of my spiritual home. Carrying the hurt, my mind repeatedly thought of all the pictures of weddings and baptisms, over and over again. The tears fell like rain. Only lightning could have caused this fire but there were no storms to be seen.

Satan destroyed our house of worship and only faith would mend the memories. As a congregation with the strength of prayer, we began to replenish that which was lost. Now by the grace of God, a new church stands better than before. Satan was defeated!

Blessed with the surplus of other churches, we serve an awesome God. Prayers are answered though the memories are tarnished. Smiles are brighter as Jesus comes to gather his flock once again.

The Chilling Fact

…what if I could remove any inhibitions from speculation? ?

chilling fact

I can’t say I’ve ever written about current events, but sometimes you just have to share secrets. There are times in life when doubt controls, but what if I could remove any inhibitions from speculation? What if hypothetically was actual? What if – Satan lives? Oh, not just in the minds of many but in a laptop or a computer. Think not?? Think again! My editor, Anne, has always been very happy to edit and post my messages for the world to read. EXCEPT NOW!!!!

After weighing on my heart for many months, the thought of Satan ruining our faithful foundations of life… well… I thought it is time to exploit that Satan is very much alive. And if you doubt me, ask Anne! She fought Friday for four hours trying to post my blog, “As Satan Caves”. Satan fought her tooth and nail by moving his picture and writings around the screen. He was trying deprive her the privilege of exploiting his undermining in our world today. I gave her the secret words to remove him from her laptop.

On Saturday, a message from a new Christian, whose concerns are the same, spoke to a pastor about my exact writings contents. Anne began responding to her with a heartfelt answer. And voila – GONE! Yes! Her response vanished! But not just her response but also the email I received. Hours later, her response and email reappeared.

I think I touched a nerve. No, not Anne’s but Satan’s being! In my mission to exploit the truth, God is so real. Satan remains trying to rule our very way of life. I, for one, stays close to God in prayer as Satan obviously knows I’m affecting his intentions. Rejoicing — I’m making a difference!

As Satan Caves

…..has Satan found a safe haven in the church?

satan

Demonology is not a profession I care to indulge in or any other witchcraft for that fact. Too many unexplained phenomena occur quite frequently in places supposedly undisturbed and left considered sacred to the holy. I’m beginning to wonder, has Satan found a safe haven in the church?

Where our Holy Father administers, the congregation withers. I see signs going against the grain. Many people should be disturbed to think Satan dwells where voices call out in tongues. I listen to the tones as octaves are out of harmony. Joyful noises aren’t so joyful anymore. He is destroying the very existence of the congregation.

Some believers are preoccupied with outside endeavors and have lost their point of center. God may be with them but Satan runs rampant in their life. (For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs: 1 Timothy 6:10)  Steepled sanctuaries are becoming more like financial institutions. So, folks are flocking to private, little non-denominational houses of worship and homespun bible studies; keeping in mind that God comes first.

Memories remind me of the olden days of tiny steeples along the road. Those who traveled under heavy laden could stop to pray and perhaps get a hot meal. Odd, we may have returned to the older days of totalitarianism worship. I watch the young flock to younger congregations and the old trying to justify their absence. And divisions conquer as Satan separates what’s left of a family tradition.

But personally, I know better… while listening to the choir, the sun is setting on my vestibule. All of God’s creatures are saying a prayer as the sun fades behind the clouds. I love my life. I’m not rich, monetarily speaking, but I’m far from poor as my faith is worth a fortune! My paycheck comes in answered prayers. Celibate to God, my spirit is undivided. Commitments resonate from the messages above.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:11-12)

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

satan 2Editor’s Notes:

Satan is wise. His method is to infiltrate the church and work from within to destroy it. He uses people and problems. Satan has penetrated our churches and he is succeeding in draining the strength and power. Revival seems to be gone in America. More people are being born than being saved by far. The Devil is stealing our influence, and even our churches are being used against the cause of Christ.

Ways Satan is infiltrating the church:

  1. Formal houses of worship: The less power with God a church has, the more ceremony will be involved. This is a day of bowing, chanting and saying meaningless prayers. Everything will be done to please people, and every decision is made in light of what others will say or do. God’s will and plan are not regarded. The plain teaching of the Bible is ignored. Churches are busy with clubs, sales, bakes, projects, etc. but where is the power of God? When a needy sinner goes to one of these formal churches for help, they quickly recommend that he see a psychiatrist.
  2. Members are living sinful: Church is just another club that will help them feel good about themselves or advance their business or give them more contacts. The church of today is filled with whimpering, jealous, defeated Christians. They are worldly, selfish and cold. Instead of love for the Father, it is the lust of the flesh.
  3. Cults: Thousands have followed the teachings of men and not of God. They have started religions to suit themselves. Many souls will spend eternity in Hell because of a smooth-talking religious racketeer who loves power and money.
  4. Congregation yields to sin: In the Bible we have the account of many who failed when they were tempted. Eve let God down and disgraced her family…Adam said, oh well, and took the plunge too! The whole human race has suffered ever since. Solomon gave in to his weakness for women and disobeyed the plain leading of the Lord. David was tempted by flesh, and his lust led to the sin of adultery with Bathsheba. He uses tongues, disloyalty, pride, false teaching, and our own flesh to his benefit – if we’ll allow it.!!

Heat Wave ~~~

God can’t save me from the satanic fury of mother Earth…

Standing before our heavenly Father, the inferno of hell is upon us. The sweltering sun has taken its toll. The vegetation wilts as no amount of water will bless their existence. I stand with them; my body reverently concedes; this is no place for human consummation. Dehydrated, the heat melts my body; God can’t save me from the satanic fury of mother Earth. Trying to obtain my composure, I feel my body pulsating. All I want is to close my eyes, concerned the rest of me is too weak to recover. The battle is now on as I ask God to help. So in my conscience mind, between the heat and shade, I am overwhelmed from the turmoil; the elements prevail.

heat wave

Though this is life in a nutshell, we fight to survive, struggling to make ends meet. Chasing the Almighty, God hears us sweat. Bills will continue in rain, shine or snow and in this sweltering heat too; there is no mercy.

Hunting for salvation, our destinies are plagued. Our comforts are riddled and there’s no escaping. Turning to the last resort (which should have been the first), we thirst for our own Resurrection. But stymied by the flames, hell is all around us. Praying to God, we sit in the drought waiting on the rain. Even a shower would be a promise of hope.

Though the sun has retired for evening, the remnants of this heat wave remind me of a beach after a tornado; the winds have fanned the furnace. The brutal heat splinters branches and shrivels stems, shaded only by mercy. I watch knowing God hears all his creatures. May God not let Satan rule and control forever. So I pray for those less fortunate. I hear their calling and all I can do is water the jonquils, realizing life is so precious….

Decisions

God watched as Satan tried to ruin a life that is blessed…

lightning

Here I stand in the pouring rain… my bible in one hand and a drink in the other. I’m torn like a tattered sail left standing after a hurricane. In the heavy thunder and bright lightning, I am crying out to God, Lord where are you leading me?  I’ve fallen in the pot holes, soaked to my neck, trying to discover my purpose.  I’m too old for these growing pains!

My bible is drenched and the print is running. Feeling like Job in the book of Revelations, I can’t tell if this is the end or just a missing chapter. Chilled to the bone from cold and driven rain, the lightning strikes so close. I’m not sure… is God trying to protect me or allowing the elements to shelter me?  Perhaps numbing the pain?

Listening to the winds, the surreal pitch hurts my ears. Standing in the black of night and relentless roaring of rolling clouds, the heavens are shaking. My palms are saturated but I feel a warmth as God takes over.

A harvest light soon shines amidst the calming storm.  I hear an owl sounding, “all clear”, as the cold air is turning warm. There in the hell of this night, God watched as Satan tried to ruin a life that is blessed.

The early dawn shines through the silver lining that brings back memories of the night that called on God to quiet the thunder. I clinched the only promise I had… for its only He who controls the weather, whether you hail in the storm or take refuge undercover.
