Can ‘One’ Make A Difference?

If you pursue the gift God has given you, He will ensure that it becomes successful….

Can One Make A Difference

On a sunny morning in August, a young skipper pacing the docks patiently waits. An escorted entourage appears on the pier; the young man kneels and takes a hand. Kissing her hand, she looks at him and a tear falls on his cheek. “Fear not my lady I shall return.” Shaking her head she replies, ” I bid you safe travels. With a king’s ransom, I pray for you. So away with you,” he hears. The lines are chopped and the tiny fleet of three heads not south, but west, into the sun. Was the earth flat? They’ll find out!

Did he make a difference? Just ask the people of the Bahamas.

Working in his shop, the candle oil burns to the wick night after night. The phone rings. “Thomas, can you come here please?”….. No longer in the dark, finally, the filament glows. Living in the dark was a thing of past.

Did he make a difference? Just ask GE.

As the auto engineering race headed onward, another sat quietly in his attorney’s office. He had drawn up the way we contain our leftovers. My dear old granddad designed the screw top lid!

Did he make a difference? Just ask any bottling company.

Getting on her hands and knees, she asserted her muscles to scrubbing and disinfecting every inch of the hospital. Later, a queen rewarded her with an engraved brooch and $250,000 for making sanitation a necessary change.

What a beautiful morning to just open up a window and sash! Thank you to the first woman to be awarded a U.S. Patent. She lets us have fresh air in our homes.

Did this female make a difference? Just ask Anderson Windows.

Who would of thought a man could stand on the bow of a boat and write a poem of what he saw? Four years later, his brother, John Alfred, (who by the way gets no credit) took an Englishman’s music and applied it to his poem. And to this day we sing it at every event.

Did he make a difference?  Just ask any flagmaker.

There’s many others….the Jobs, Gates and even Zuckerberg. One person can change the world!

The stories untold….. “for God so loved the earth that He gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to change the world….” Indeed, God sends one person at a time to alter our way of life. Let us not forget it is God that blesses them with their creativity. So, don’t we all have a chance to change the world?? I think so….

With tired and heavy eyes, I owe my life for the gift I received from God above. Committed like Moses to do God’s work, we all have venues where God’s mission in our lives plays a part. If you pursue the gift God has given you, He will ensure that it becomes successful. What an awesome guarantee!!

Can One Make A Difference 2
I pray tonight for us all to become what God wants….to make a difference – one by one. Make a spot in your world or someone else’s today!

Who’s next? Will you allow it to be you?

As Christians know, we are here for a purpose — to do God’s work!!!!

In Satan’s Wake

and Clues That Satan May Be Lurking In Your Home

In Satan's wake 2

Setting the scenario for this true story, I can begin by saying this was an actual incident that occurred to my editor, Anne, last week. I think it is important to understand that Satan never sleeps;

It was a pretty, nice morning. The sun was shining brightly through the blinds. She took her place behind the computer looking for Bible verses that related to my newest blog. The birds were cheerful, their feeder full and it looked like Thanksgiving in the backyard. Every feathered friend had come to partake in the seed-feeding frenzy. The TV was on low as the news can be like a broken record. Concentrating on Bible verses, her mission was to try to help the wandering seek comprehension of my message. (What an awesome job she does! Praise God for her hard efforts. Editing and correcting my grammar, I never thought of it as a full-time job, but I guess it really is after all.)

There she was going through chapter after chapter, speed reading the verses. Suddenly, a large black shadow swept by, behind her. At first she thought she was imagining things but then a noise – like a door! The hair on her arms stood straight up. What was that?? was her first thought, had Dana returned? Ever present, lingering in her thoughts, the evil power of Satan laid in his wake as he was rebuked. Searching for verses in the name of Jesus, Satan had no power. So reluctantly he left.

1 Peter 5: 8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

To lie, cheat, steal, and destroy….Satan was no match when her world revolves around the power of Christ Jesus. And so Satan moved on….. finding his way to attack her world through other acquaintances. Helplessly, she was at the mercy of Satan. God was called in the name of Jesus. The meek surrounded, would inherit. You see, Satan lies in every doorway.

She pushed away, knowing what just happened was as real as life itself. Now bombarded, the aftermath surfaced as even siblings tried to rule. Though maybe meek under the eyelids of God, the strength in her soul was like a second wind. Determination had no limits. The only light was the computer screen. Her world caved in…..or did it not??

In Satan's Wake

There in the light, a message arose on the computer screen, just as though she was saved from Satan’s powers. Her life was far more important than the orientation of his desires. A calm had then resumed. Looking out at the remaining seed, the flock had flown away in Satan’s wake as well. God planted value in her spirit and she regained her composure. Studying her Bible verses, she continued. She turned up the TV as maybe some background noise would be comforting.

Enforcing the word of God, the Bible, and it’s pride, leads us all out of temptation…. at least for those who read it. My readers, you may ask yourself, am I just reading a tale or is this real? Study your Bible and you will find out that Satan hides within it’s very pages. Personally, I too, have seen his shadow sweep behind me while I would write in my Church pew.

As evil becomes more prevalent, God turns a blind eye, for Christ now narrows his list of followers. The meek will inherit the earth, it is written and not by me. It’s scripture.

Clues That Satan May Be Lurking In Your Home

There are many signs that evil lives in your home so please consider this small list as partial.  If you feel you are afflicted by demonic attacks, it would be advisable to seek the counsel of a pastor of a spirit filled Christ centered church. Keep in mind that you have power over all demonic principalities ‘in the name of Jesus’ once you have accepted Christ as your personal Savior and are covered by His blood.
