To The Boomer’s Babies

My child of knowledge, without wisdom, your spineless acts are to the contrary.

To The Boomer's Babies

Aggression – it has prospered. Words with meaning a generation ago, doesn’t mean much to a new way of life. I watch the news as a few of our children fight for fame. They will more likely end up incarcerated. So, you think to liberate our beloved homeland is the answer? To make change, for better or for worse, tell me where God is in this equation.

The insubordinates that never attend church, stand in the shadows of the tall believing their rights are violated. My child of knowledge, without wisdom, your spineless acts are to the contrary. The history books will never mention the hate, the hell, and violent Revolutions of the Sixties (see article below).

To The Boomer's Babies 2

Your thoughts remain that all things are new. Well like bell bottoms or madras, the Boomers have seen it all before. Flexing your freedom doesn’t make it right. God stands quietly on the side lines with His collective heritage of souls.

My children of little faith, your draft number was never called. You have never fought another’s battles. “I am human first”, a quote posted on social media, was from a nice young man. He has never met ISIS where one’s life is not worth a damn. But his point, well taken, we MUST love our brothers.

To The Boomer's Babies cover

I wake in prayer, as corny as it may sound. I’ve found peace as others around me live in turmoil. You grasp at life, belligerent and trying to make your own mark in this world. Obviously, you do not believe in Christ or the gift of miracles.

Good luck is all you need. We thought so, too, at your age. But as we aged and experienced life, we did walk away with some wisdom. It’s something you cannot earn at thirty-something!

So, you want to take command of a country? Let’s scrutinize North Korea. Is that what you really want? Our country was founded on values and love for our fellow man; honor and respect for our neighbors; helping those less fortunate. This is not a home of genocide, “I’m human first.”

All lives matter, but let’s not forget that GOD is first! Christ was a miracle and so are you. Go back to our basic principles…you drive on the right. I hope you put God in your equation, if He’s not already. Learn from your Father’s wisdom. The mistakes we made, we made to protect you and your future! Be blessed and if you’re not doing it already, find a church.

Gallant Valor

August 28, 2017

texas

It’s Sunday evening….some are about to return to church, some about to sit down for a wonderful dinner; some may be ready to slide back in their recliners to watch the evening news or some football. But let me interject some thoughts….

“God Bless Texas”

These courageous folks…. not the police or military; but the humanitarians who launch their boats on the highways into uncharted waters. They travel rooftop to rooftop, listening for stranded victims. Unless you have been involved in search and rescue as I did, you can’t imagine the danger. The sewers flood out, alligators and snakes, and the mosquitos will carry you off. Then there are the caskets that surface.

Here is where black lives matter! White supremacists could care less what you and the rest of America thinks. This is war friends – Texans against nature’s worst. God is the only entity prayed to here.

You talk about coming together as united people? Well snowflakes, take a lesson – WAKE UP! This is how America was and will always be. People with dignity respecting those with integrity. God bless them!!!

Gallant Valor

By the grace of God, there is no color of race nor ethnic coupe. There are no boastful rednecks. They instead drive for hours to launch their boats on interstates to save those in dire straits.

Praise those who give their time! They leave their families behind to help the survived. They certainly command a medal to commemorate their valiant duty.

God bless them!

A Lit-Less Day

The Bible speaks of Christ rising in the dark of day.

I stood with the masses and never gave a thought how our world had come to a screeching halt. The highways and byways, cars were parked everywhere. The city streets reminded me of a Walmart parking lot. The sky darkened in the bright of day. People looked toward the heavens as though Christ might come again. The Bible speaks of Christ rising in the dark of day.  Personally, I would rather believe Christ left the earth in jubilation taking the sins of mankind with Him.

I, too, watched in awe. Is it time for all those who believe to rise and shine? The earth paused. Nature’s anointed knew, also, this was something supernatural. An eerie quiet fell over the world and God, with His mighty power, covered our country in darkness. Ashamed, disgruntled, and disappointed, our Father in heaven cast shadows where sin has traveled. Civil unrest has undermined His will. Determined to cast His word, He covered the sun in attempt to prove His power.

On a lit-less day, God took over our routines. We stood in awe and watched; some of God, prayed. Most think the path of darkness it followed was just a coincidence. But I was aware of His ultimate power showing the strength where Satan ruled. From non-believers to those of all faiths, God in heaven proved He knew what to cover on Earth. Praying people would take notice as Satan tried to rule the skies, our Father in heaven left little doubt when the darkness fell.

Astronomers searched the stars in the heavens. But only God will let the world know that the heavens are not for the naked eye; but merely for the souls that truly believe. In the streets, faith was tested. Holding hands, the Christians prayed.

I stood in a doorway, like an eye of a needle….watching for a camel to come.**

Editor’s Comments:

On many occasions, God commanded His people to watch. He gave signs for a reason. If He didn’t want us to pay attention, He wouldn’t have given signs.  It is unusual that today’s social upheavals are an indication of a trying time – a time when there is a natural predisposition for sin, and for strict judgment of that sin.

Looking at the map below, you will see the exact route that the August 21, 2017 eclipse traveled.

Eclipse

There has been much social unrest in this country for a very long time.  With that being said, observe on the map below the critical areas of major rioting and upheavals in the last 50 years.

God definitely made points with signs in the sky throughout the Bible. But is He still doing the same thing today?  You decide!

“Air Looms”

There’s no love in the hearts of many trying to destroy our great nation

The nightly news has become a broken record; some group wants to decapitate a statue. Across the seas, there is always another coup that doesn’t agree with our way of life. Disgusted with the worldly ways, I say, good-night…don’t forget to pray! Pray for forgiveness for those that thought, but know not, that wisdom and knowledge are only attributed to experience. I ask God to watch over the loved that means so much.

Greeted by a morning fog, Dawn (God’s Little Girl), is crying out over our sovereignty. I look to heaven for a clear sign.

It’s blanketed by the “air that looms”….

A still so eerie that nature, itself, has ran for cover. I sit in the mist listening to God and wonder why my birds aren’t eating. Un-United, our states are in turmoil. Our heavenly father has turned a blind eye. You can’t bless the lack of respect; the sorrow mourns a morning.

The “air looms” with mixed emotions….

My heartfelt thoughts are not being heard. God, poised, we pray for your resolution.

The calm is like none other; my Morning Doves are gone. The atmosphere is saturated with hate. There’s no love in the hearts of many trying to destroy our great nation.

The “air looms”…. like a solar eclipse about to happen.

All I feel is the emptiness from the hell the media stirs. Life is better when we are excluded. Starving for attention, these groups are fed by the fame they receive.

And the “air still looms”….

Like freshly perked coffee, you can almost smell the prediction of people. And yet, if you leave the coffee urn on, you know what will happen. It’s time to rise, and “make your bed” (a General once said). Be called to the glory, as those before us, who gave their all in the name of God. Life is too precious!

The ”air looms”….. it’s relentless.

Those that kiss their loved ones goodbye, parade in front of a camera. They proudly display their inhumanity for one another.

What have we learned??

Our history is being destroyed at the hands of “the children”! Where is our might to fight the ruthless? God only knows. The blood sheds for many, the past and the present. Is there no hope when morning comes?

And the “air looms”….

The torches of a fiery hell lingers long into the night. Not a soul was armored in the name of Christ; not a Bible was destroyed in the melee.

And still the “air looms” as Dawn awakens….

When Hate Is Loved

….history repeats itself as nothing is learned.

Coming home from a hard day’s work, I listen to the rhetoric that plagues our country. I love the drive, a peaceful little back road. The groundhogs sit up and watch as I pass and the deer graze along the shoulder. It’s like driving back through time. The trees sway and shadows my drive on this hot summer afternoon, giving me comfort on the ride home. A passing wave from an oncoming car whom you don’t know, tells they’re enjoying their ride home too. But the rhetoric on the radio, well….it’s another world out there.

hatred

There’s no hurry driving down a winding road; no traffic jams. It’s just me with God sitting beside me. Arriving home to my manicured lawn, the roses greet me. My tired bones rejuvenate by the intertwined pinks and reds. Wow! What a gorgeous sight!

So another day comes to an end; no one died, not a shot was fired, and my boss even chuckled about our way of life. God, I love my life. Even my future looks promising. Another beautiful sunset, too, with shades that are indescribable.

Sitting down to dinner and saying grace, it’s the same old story in the background. “These people hate those people” and, “politically correct” is headline news. Those that said grace together now stand on opposite sides, swearing and throwing stones. A tear comes as we bow our heads and hold hands. Grace is all God asks for.

For the love of God, I can’t imagine anything constructive derived from hate! Memories are removed from town square. God won’t bless the hell that’s born when hate is loved. Looking for comfort as the bloody are posted on the internet, I wonder…. if it were Christ, would those posing as gladiators carry Bibles instead?

The night now reigns and God deems who’s worthy. The bloodshed in the streets now becomes the statue. And history repeats itself as nothing is learned. We’re reminded of the eternal flame that burns for those who gave their all. They never had the chance to see that sin plastered in the early morning light.

th

My God shows no mercy on those that loves hate….their days are numbered. They’ll never find the peace that comes in the afternoon leaving work; as the little groundhog sits up and says, “God loves you”; or the waving hand showing “brotherly love”.

Editor’s Notes:

Did You Know???

Battle flags become totems for the men who served under them, for their sacrifices. They assume emotional significance for soldiers’ families and their descendants. Anyone today hoping to understand why so many Americans consider the flag an object of hatred must understand its status as a memorial to the Confederate soldier. These flags will always be contentious symbols as long as people still argue about the Civil War, its causes and its conduct.

Kappa Alpha was a fraternity that introduced Confederate symbols into collegiate life. It was in the hands of students that the flag burst onto the political scene in 1948.

Truckers, motorcycle riders and “good ol’ boys” (most famously depicted in the popular television show The Dukes of Hazzard) gave the flag a new meaning that transcends the South and even the United States.

We know that we must study the flag’s entire history if we wish to understand the history that is happening around us today.

When A Picture’s Worth A Thousand

Watching the world poised for action, we need to diligently seek grace.

Speaking patriotically, I listen to the views as opinions are too numerous to mention. A true believer, we are all under God and I seek the best for all the country. The military, the meek, the wealthy that knows yet seeks to destroy. Even nature wants to preserve. We spend our lives trying to endure and do what’s right for the welfare of our descendants. Praying to pass on the promises instilled in us as children, we strive in our commitment to God to make a difference.

What matters more than heritage? We stand like statues to the wind, like the Wye Oak, as seasons change a landmark to our community. But one thing for sure, we hold our flag dear to our hearts. Our allegiance we pledge, faithfully.

But I wonder….will our children ever comprehend the complacency we constructed for them? They will never see a draft where destiny is decided by the luck of a straw. We were plunged from high school to a battlefield, fighting for our lives. Forget the enemy! Staying alive was priority. Kids can’t relate unless of course they enlisted in a branch.

I call on the weak to rise and be counted. God needs us! We are the chosen to serve and protect what’s left. Watching the world poised for action, we need to diligently seek grace.

Complacency

it spreads through our towns like an epidemic…..

Annually, we celebrate that our 401k looks better. The kids are grown but come home occasionally. We sit and watch the glorious sunsets. Our yard gets mowed, whether it needs it or not. To keep up with the Jones’s, we buy a new car even though the old one was fine; just a couple scratches and a dent in the door. Our world revolves around charities, church and community civic meetings; a visit to sick friends, maybe; no need to be concerned about insurance on our homes. Our holidays are window shopping perfect, with glittering lights, that wish all a good night. At Easter, as the daffodils spring up, we dress our best to commemorate His Crucifixion; but never mind there are “those” that would crucify us in a minute.

Oh, how we have come to live in a little town of complacency! I remember….we watched them every afternoon…“Father Knows Best” or “The Andy Griffith Show”; we would dream of living a gratifying life as “The Beverly Hillbillies”, I recall. Looking back, we embraced our heritage like a flag pole; proud of our own small accomplishments; and surrendering our lives to our country. Giving all, it was an honor to protect and serve.

Today, generations later, even dress codes pay no mind as pants are worn at half-mast. We listen to our new America and think, it will never affect us. Well sadly, there is bill in the House to remove what we all believe in, “one nation under God “. I wonder…has socialism moved in right next door??

I’m tired that complacency is nothing more than a disease; it spreads through our towns like an epidemic. I pray that God, who hears and listens in the silence, delivers us from this blight. It is difficult to believe we’ve allowed things to go this far!

But, maybe tomorrow, after another restless night, the hands of time will ring like the number one song on the top charts that we all used to sing. Isn’t that, in fact, exactly what we do? We sing along and reminisce about the times we first heard our favorite song playing… on our transistor radio….
