If God Brings You….

A true story of God fulfilling His promises….

I sat in the pew and asked God how much faith must one believe in? The choir sang so beautiful as they echoed through the sanctuary but the prayers of a promise kept an empty seat next to me. I’m riddled by the sermon’s unanswered questions and haunted by God’s promises for my life. I meandered from the service, hoping next Sunday would be different.

Monday’s formalities were the same as every other day. My heart ached and throbbed with pain. Bright spots of the sun’s rays crept into my soul, but my spirit wasn’t buying the makeshift ceremonies. I asked my Father repeatedly, where is the love of my life You promised me from heaven? But there were no signs or indications of Him acknowledging my requests.

One busy day at work, I answered a phone call. I heard an angel’s voice on the end of the line. What if God is bringing me a heavenly gift? I’m too old for false illusions and toying with a younger enthusiast. I hung up after our brief encounter never thinking God was in control of it all. But no sooner does one chapter close than a new world opens with faith and some prayer. Never letting go of my deep convictions, I struggled in pursuit to find my promise. Little did I realize on the other end of the phone was an angel praying for her promises too. Was it a match made in heaven? Possibly, but I understood constant prayers brought results.

Today, it’s 100 degrees outside, and I sit out in the breezy shade staring off into a glass-top table that wasn’t there a couple of years ago. My life drastically changed from the atmosphere of demons where promises were like the wind that filtered across my porch. God knew the winds would change course, and He anointed an angel to come into my life. Where would I be today if I stayed on my previous heading and ignored His signs? I would be looking at an old baron floor full of splinters.

If God brings you a miracle in life, don’t ignore it! Sunday sermons bring temporary relief and acknowledgment of hope, but it’s in YOU, God seeks to fulfill His mission. He challenges you to accept them. For me, it was finding my wife, the love of my life, and no less my Editor. Together, we work for God, helping to build His empire.

There is no need to drop coins in a phone booth just to say hello to God. Faith and prayers always fulfill the promises He blesses upon us. Let it be said…. when you think the odds are against you, our great Protector shines His love. God, your insurer, and policymaker is our ultimate salvation of hope. May you be blessed.
