Life’s Like A Shoestring

Your evening quip of humor….

Life's Like Shoestring 2

Rousing from the dead of sleep, I found my pants and put my shirt on – oh no – backwards!!! Well, that served me right for getting dressed in the dark. But, I love my life, even if it reminds me of a shoestring.

The pressure immense, I hope I don’t snap! I find myself watching out for every corner so I’m not snagged. Under the gun and lowest on the totem pole, I’m constantly being stepped on. Knocking off the dirt when I finally get home, my laces are in a tangled mess. I, too, am much the same! How about you, had enough?

Life's Like ShoestringSo, the day begins in the pouring rain. My feet are soaked before I reach my truck. I feel like my shoestrings – wet and taut. Even if I was as new as shoes, I still feel like the woven laces. I’m in and out of one hole or another, stressed to the max at every turn! I now understand why cowboy boots don’t have shoestrings.

But isn’t life a little like a shoestring? Your tugged and pulled, even tied up, sometimes double-knotted just to make sure. Bound by limits, we find ourselves trying to hang on for dear life. And at the end of the day it’s time to try to relax and untie the strings. You might even be one that tucks their laces in. Oh, I hate it when I’m that OCD!

Tomorrow will be here soon enough. Once again, my patience and shoestrings will get tied up with traffic jams, slippery streets, and soaked shoes and….well, you get the picture. So, without further ado, I trust that you will get the knots out and enjoy your evening.

Have a very blessed night and remember…. when life makes you feel like a shoestring, be very thankful your KNOT !!!!

What you are reading on my website is the result of a miracle from God. I am not a writer, though I am a messenger. God took a very dyslexic guy from Severna Park, Maryland, who never read or wrote a thing, and told me I was going to write messages to share with others. I do not have a degree, and English was my poorest subject. Trust me, it's only through God that I write. As you read, understand that we all have the ability to receive the gifts that Christ would like us to have, gifts from God. It happened to me, it can happen to you. Let God enter your soul and rule your spirit!
