Can ‘One’ Make A Difference?

If you pursue the gift God has given you, He will ensure that it becomes successful….

Can One Make A Difference

On a sunny morning in August, a young skipper pacing the docks patiently waits. An escorted entourage appears on the pier; the young man kneels and takes a hand. Kissing her hand, she looks at him and a tear falls on his cheek. “Fear not my lady I shall return.” Shaking her head she replies, ” I bid you safe travels. With a king’s ransom, I pray for you. So away with you,” he hears. The lines are chopped and the tiny fleet of three heads not south, but west, into the sun. Was the earth flat? They’ll find out!

Did he make a difference? Just ask the people of the Bahamas.

Working in his shop, the candle oil burns to the wick night after night. The phone rings. “Thomas, can you come here please?”….. No longer in the dark, finally, the filament glows. Living in the dark was a thing of past.

Did he make a difference? Just ask GE.

As the auto engineering race headed onward, another sat quietly in his attorney’s office. He had drawn up the way we contain our leftovers. My dear old granddad designed the screw top lid!

Getting on her hands and knees, she asserted her muscles to scrubbing and disinfecting every inch of the hospital. Later, a queen rewarded her with an engraved brooch and $250,000 for making sanitation a necessary change.

What a beautiful morning to just open up a window and sash! Thank you to the first woman to be awarded a U.S. Patent. She lets us have fresh air in our homes.

Who would of thought a man could stand on the bow of a boat and write a poem of what he saw? Four years later, his brother, John Alfred, (who by the way gets no credit) took an Englishman’s music and applied it to his poem. And to this day we sing it at every event.

Did he make a difference?  Just ask any flagmaker.

There’s many others….the Jobs, Gates and even Zuckerberg. One person can change the world!

The stories untold….. “for God so loved the earth that He gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to change the world….” Indeed, God sends one person at a time to alter our way of life. Let us not forget it is God that blesses them with their creativity. So, don’t we all have a chance to change the world?? I think so….

With tired and heavy eyes, I owe my life for the gift I received from God above. Committed like Moses to do God’s work, we all have venues where God’s mission in our lives plays a part. If you pursue the gift God has given you, He will ensure that it becomes successful. What an awesome guarantee!!

I pray tonight for us all to become what God wants….to make a difference – one by one. Make a spot in your world or someone else’s today!

Who’s next? Will you allow it to be you?

As Christians know, we are here for a purpose — to do God’s work!!!!

Matthew 19:26
“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”

2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

What you are reading on my website is the result of a miracle from God. I am not a writer, though I am a messenger. God took a very dyslexic guy from Severna Park, Maryland, who never read or wrote a thing, and told me I was going to write messages to share with others. I do not have a degree, and English was my poorest subject. Trust me, it's only through God that I write. As you read, understand that we all have the ability to receive the gifts that Christ would like us to have, gifts from God. It happened to me, it can happen to you. Let God enter your soul and rule your spirit!
