Reflecting in shock on the sadness of the Las Vegas massacre, our hearts mourn the loss. It’s just a heartbreaking day for we also lost a lead singer we all grew up with – Tom Petty. I hear a distant freight train as it meanders its way out of sight carrying with it the memories of the songs we sang along with. But shifting gears, we woke to another catastrophe, the likes our country has never seen. A late summer concert turned into a premeditated hell. All we can do is hang our heads and ask why. The individual stories of valor and sacrifice are as unbelievable as this horrific instigator himself.
So, we relax and enjoy our back porches, and share the summer winds and the stars with our loved ones. Meanwhile, there are thousands in Tinsel Town reliving the nightmare they’ll never forgive. And there’s not one person in America that isn’t affected.
Do you try to tell me we aren’t all “under God?” We pray to Him for our sovereignty. Though the curbs remain stained, the hearts and minds will never forget Oct 2nd, 2017.
God bless the inflicted. The drama plays out as the world is speechless. We all want to help – be vigilant! Love not hate, show your courtesy and be respectful. Honor you brothers and sisters, and God will bless you. Pray for the innocent victims that we will meet, again, in heaven. They never asked for this nor the stupidity displayed on its aftermath.
Stand tall my friends! Be one in Christ for the price of sin is hell. So, today let us be unified…. we are all one, Americans under God.
